The Nightflying Anniversary party was a tremendous success and as was the following nights gig at Dugans’ Pub with Jimmy Powell and Mark Wyers.  I’m working on booking the band in more places but I’m reminded of how much difficulty it is to book bands as opposed to solo acts.  Hell, anyone will take an inexpensive solo act.  I should also mention taking part in the Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase with the Brian Nahlen Band: an experience to remember.  I don’t particularly care for contests.  I’m too damn old for them and chances are I’m more than capable of acquiring on my own whatever the prize may be.  We didn’t advance to the finals.  None of us thought we would but hey, it was something to do.  Look for me at Cregeens Irish Pub in the next few weeks and keep on rockin’!
