Having fun never goes out of style
If there was any doubt that I am out of shape, last week proved it concretely. It’s all good, though. I would play every night if I could even if it killed me. Last Wednesday, the 16th, The Hi-Balls played an official party for the Acansa Arts Festival in downtown Little Rock and we had so much fun. We made a lot of new friends in the local art scene and got our picture taken with the new conductor of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Philip Mann. That was a thrill. Friday night The Hi-Balls were back at Another Round Pub where the energy flows unbridled. We love that place. Saturday night I dragged my happy ass into Cregeens Irish Pub in Argenta for a 3 hour solo show. I was exhausted but I love the people there so much that it didn’t feel like work at all. As usual, I was sad when it came time to shut down. Comparatively speaking this will be a slow week with the only show being Cregeens again on Saturday night. I’ll take the rest with a smile. Having fun never goes out of style.
