We’re getting closer to my CD release party and the nerves are kicking!  These days it seems like I’m always going from one big thing to another and planning.. well that’s just not working.  what is working is my ability to wing this crap and somehow get lucky.  The other night I had a phone interview with Peter Read for Nightflying magazine, a lifelong dream of mine.  Of course I had now way of knowing what questions I would be ask but I assumed it would all fall along the lines of “who are your influences.. what inspires you?”  Nope.  Peter is too clever for pedestrian questions like that.  I was as ill-prepared as ever BUT in my surprised state, I had no choice but to give him completely honest answers, without the chance for me to script and redact anything for the sake of looking cool.  I’m sure that was his plan all along because he’s kind of an expert at this sort of thing.  All in all I’m incredibly happy with how it went and I can’t wait to see it in print or online or however this stuff happens these days!
