Call me Pokey.
Once again, it’s been a few weeks since my last post and it’s a bittersweet occurrence. Bitter because I’m trying to do better about keeping this site updated, sweet because I’ve been very busy. My last show was Halloween night at The Flying Saucer with The Hi-Balls and it was awesome! I love playing with Lance, Mike, Stuart, and Mark and everybody had a great time. My wife and I were in full costume as Rest Home Elvis and Bubba Ho-Tep. Some people got the reference but most didn’t. That’s ok because we had fun getting our costumes together. It isn’t easy to pull off a show at The Saucer but the staff was super accommodating and nice. I’ve gotten to know a lot of the girls because many of them live in NLR and stop in at Cregeens when I’m playing over there. Making friends.. that’s what it’s all about.
Tomorrow night I’m playing a private function at Dickey Stephens Ballpark, which should be fun. My contact told me that the crowd will want a lot of country music and I told her “I got this.” Stay tuned for more solo shows at Cregeens and a couple of shows with The Brian Nahlen Band.
