Exciting stuff I tell ya!
Since the last time I checked in I made a whirlwind visit to New York City for the day-gig. I had a little time after the work was done so I strolled all over the East side of Manhattan and had a blast! Time’s Square, Rockefeller Center, the old Studio 54, the Ed Sullivan theater, the Brill Building.. I walked past all of it and that suited me just fine, I didn’t need to go in anywhere. I probably ate 10 hot dogs from the street vendors. I wasn’t that hungry but it seemed like a thing to do when in NY. I certainly hope they’ll send me back soon. There’s nothing like travel when someone else is paying for it!
Yesterday I did a little more work on my solo CD, adding guitar layers to a couple of songs and even an accordion track. Getting closer! Saturday night I’m performing my first solo gig in a couple of weeks at Cregeens Irish Pub. Then, on Sunday evening, I’m playing again at Tina’s Just One More bar in Southwest Little Rock. It’s a biker bar but I’ve played for bikers so many times it would seem weird not to play for them. They’re a nice bunch. Stay tuned for fun!
