Rolling towards the end of The Year of Death

Truly none of us are safe in 2016.  A couple of weeks ago during a show at Cajun’s Wharf our drummer, a close friend, received a call from his brother stating that his wife, the drummer’s sister-in-law, was having chest pain and they were taking her to the hospital.  She died.  Horrible.  Just last night a local guitarist had a heart attack while driving, with his twelve year-old son in the car.  The car crashed and the guitarist died.  Fortunately his son is ok.  It’s hard to find comfort in a time like this.

On a better note- I’ve managed to stay fairly busy in 2016.  I’ve played a plethora of solo shows as well as shows with my good friend, Brian Nahlen.  I put together a band for Halloween called the Personal Space Invaders with my long-time bassist, Mike Nelson, and one of the drummers for my album, Darrell Johnson.  The Hi-Balls played a nice private party a few weeks ago, and I’ve done a great deal of recording for friends not to mention recording and releasing my own album, Child Of The Dark.  It’s hard to stay mad at 2016.  Wait.. Donald Trump was elected to be our new president.  I hate 2016.
