I met Steve Winwood last year.  It was at The Flying Saucer, the night before he opened for Steely Dan at Verizon Arena.  I was the entertainment that night and he and his posse sat at a big table and virtually ignored me all evening.  I didn’t mind, I enjoyed it.  At the end of the night he shook my hand and gave me a huge compliment, regarding how hard I worked and how good I sounded.  I still get goose bumps when I think about.  I said to him, “tonight you listened to me, tomorrow night I’ll be listening to you.”  He laughed.  What a nice guy.

The gigs are picking up and there’s a lot of cool things on the horizon.  The Brian Nahlen Band is getting close to releasing our latest single, I Might Be Leaving.  This Friday night Brian and I are performing at Dugans in Little Rock and it promises to be awesome!
